Veterans Day

  Veterans day is about people who have served our country and remembering all those who died for our country. We celebrate this holiday by having a ceremony dedicated to those who served in our country. We recognize new, old, and future veterans. We celebrate it on November 11 because during World War 1 the German president decide to truce on the 11^th day  11 month and the 11^th  hour. The first person to be buried on veterans day was an unknown person, he is buried at Arlinting National Cemetery. Ever since it’s a tradition for any unknown veteran to buried there. It is also a tradition for the president or any former representative to lay flowers or sort of gift for them.

   I feel like this holiday is very meaning full to me because I have my cousins who went to afaganastand and are still serving for our nation and for that I thank them.
