Health Educator
Duties and Responsibilities: Health educators who work in
medical facilities provide patients with information on their diagnosis and
treatment, as well as tips on staying healthy. They teach group classes on
health topics and train medical staff on how to communicate with patients. Health
educators employed by private companies may conduct staff health screenings,
design healthy workplace programs, or create incentives for employees to lose
weight, quit smoking or increase their level of exercise. Also supervising
staff, creating health-related materials, such as posters and websites, Helping
people find the appropriate health services or information, Advocating for
improved health resources and policies, Collecting data and other information
to analyze needs and evaluate programs, Preparing reports for management and
other stakeholders
Education: Minimum requirement is a bachelor’s degree but is
most common for a health educator to hold a master degree.
I don’t think I would like to work as a health educator.
