Oncologist
Duties and Responsibilities: Medical oncologists serve at the front lines of the war against cancer. From diagnosis to treatment, including support care and beyond, medical oncologists help patients battle the disease. Medical oncologists focus treatments on surgery and chemotherapy, as opposed to radiation oncologists, who use radiation therapy to fight cancer. Though they use different protocols, medical oncologists may work on a team with radiation oncologists and other doctors

Salary: From September 2014 showed that oncologists in
general earned a median annual salary of $217,856
Education: All oncology doctors must complete an
undergraduate degree program, four years of medical school and a residency or
fellowship program that usually lasts two to four years, depending on the
oncology specialty.
Reflection: I think this is a great job but I’m just not sure if working
with cancer patents is my thing but it is a great career.
